What do blueberries and lemon have in common other than they compliment each other nicely? They give you the nutrients you need to freshen up your skin!
Today was a good day as I found fresh blueberries so I can go back to making one of my favourite smoothie recipes – Lemon Blue Smoothie. This smoothie also helps your skin glow. Blueberries are loaded with antioxidants and vitamin C and I pair it with one of my other favourite ingredients of late – lemons. The pairing is refreshingly delightful and it sure to perk up your skin and your morning!
Lemon Blueberry Smoothie for Skincare
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt ( I personally love the creamy 5 or 11 percent stuff)
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1 tbs shaved coconut
- 1 banana
- 1/2 teaspoon of dulse (seaweed, if you don't have try spirulina)

1 squeeze of lemon juice (I prefer fresh lemons but lemon juice will do in a pinch)

Handful of ice cubes
Blend and enjoy!
