Why Fennel Seed is SO GOOD for Your Skin

Let’s talk about our Goddess Grains Facial Cleanser. We’ve been wanting to highlight this product for a while but everybody bought it all! But, don’t fear, it’s back in stock.

If you use it, you are familiar with the benefits of this gentle face wash. Dull skin will instantly look brighter and clearer. Unlike most other face washes out there, Goddess Grains Facial Cleanser comes in powdered form. We didn’t want to add any pointless stabilizers or preservatives! All you do is tap some of the grains out in the palm of your hand and add a little water until it is paste-like to activate it.

The product list is simple, yet powerful. It contains vitamin C, seaweeds, and fennel seed. We have talked a lot about the benefits of vitamin C and seaweed when it comes to our skin’s health, but we have never fully discussed why we add fennel seeds.

While fennel, a member of the parsley family, has been used for decades as a digestive aid, slight diuretic, and cure for snake bites (in ancient India) we also know it can be a gentle and toning agent. Fennel has been documented to reduce puffiness as well as superficial irritation.

Fennel is wonderful for all skin types, particularly skin that is on the oily side and acne-prone. Its antiseptic properties help remove the dirt and bacteria that are behind oil buildups and breakouts. Compounds in fennel such as limonene, anethole, and myrcene help treat acne. The seeds also contain vitamins A, C, and E, which is a power line for fighting dark spots and wrinkles.

It is also said to protect skin from free radicals and applying them topically can give your skin a direct infusion of copper, iron, potassium, and zinc – all keys to bright and healthy skin.

I like to leave Goddess Grains on my skin for a couple of minutes while I’m in the shower, or even at the basin while brushing my teeth. When cleansing, use circular motions with your fingertips all the while maintaining a light touch. This will help stimulate blood flow.

Goddess Grains aren’t just limited to your face. Fennel is used in many anti-cellulite skin formations. When it is massaged into skin, it helps smooth and hydrate. Try applying to those cellulite-prone areas before hitting the beach!

No wonder this is one of the most popular Sealuxe products!
