Dry Brushing

dry brushing benefits

Ever heard of dry brushing? If you haven’t, we’re here to tell you it’s great!

It’s as simple as it sounds – before you have a shower, stand in the stall or tub and run a high-quality dry brush over your skin for about five minutes.

This is a bit different from exfoliating – dry brushing is said to stimulate your lymphatic system, boost your circulation, and may even reduce stress!

If you’re interested in trying this out, make sure you find a high-quality dry brush with bristles made from natural materials. Start at the soles of your feet and work your way up your legs to your stomach, arms, and back. (It’s a good idea to stay away from your face – the skin is too delicate there – as well as your genital area and any place where there are skin abrasions).

The brush strokes should be firm, but not a scrub. Brush towards your heart – this is said to be best for circulation and your lymphatic system. When you brush your back, brush from the neck down to the lower back. Shower immediately after to wash away the dead skin cells and follow up with your favourite moisturizer.

Just another way of feeling good - naturally!
