Righteous Raspberry Smoothie
Raspberries are one of my favourite fruits. They’re so delicious and nutritious with oodles of Vitamin C, manganese, and being a source of fibre. The plant nutrients in raspberries also provide antimicrobial and anticarcinogenic protection and – bonus as we’re left raspberry season behind us to enter fall – freezing them doesn’t lower their antioxidant power!
My go-to smoothie is basic, but a favourite:
- 1 cup water
- 1.5 cups fresh (or frozen) raspberries
- 1 banana
- 1 teaspoon of Canadian honey
- 1 serving of protein powder (I use Vega’s Bodacious Berry)
