Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie Recipe

Okay, we’re on a bit of a roll here with delectable smoothies. To keep the momentum going, one of our dear readers sent us a note with her latest smoothie experience (thanks for letting us know about this one, Jen!). She found the recipe online, with the credit going to Lee Hersh, and thought it was so good that other SeaLuxe blog readers might appreciate it, too!

We had this Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie recipe for breakfast and, wow, it IS so delicious. It’s one of those smoothies that tastes like it shouldn’t be good for you (but, trust us – it is). It’s simple to make and the only extra step is two-part blending as it tastes more authentic with separate flavours and looks prettier.

Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie

Peanut butter layer

  • ½  frozen banana

  • ¼ cup your favourite natural peanut butter

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 cup ice cubes

Blend until smooth and fill up your glass half-way.

Chocolate layer

  • ½ frozen banana

  • Handful of spinach

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 3 tbs cocoa powder

Blend until smooth and fill the rest of your glass. Top with oats and drizzle with peanut butter. If you want to make this smoothie a little naughtier, top with broken pieces/minis of Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups, like some did in our household!
