Gingerbread Man Smoothie Recipe

Christmas is two weeks away and, if you’re like us, you’re indulging a little (okay, a lot) with the sweet stuff. If you feel as though you’d like to be smart about sugar, we have the perfect holiday smoothie for you. Our Gingerbread Man Smoothie is not only a sweet-tooth pleaser, but it is also high in fiber, calcium, and protein not to mention Vitamin C and iron. This smoothie contains molasses which is loaded with magnesium (helps the functioning of the nervous system) and contains pantothenic acid and Vitamin B6 which helps prevent fatigue and headaches. Its high calcium content is great for good bone health as well as aids in the removal of toxins from the colon.

Gingerbread Man Smoothie

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt (we use 5%)

  • ½ cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk

  • 1 banana

  • 4 tbsp rolled organic oats (uncooked)

  • 2 tbs molasses

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp vanilla

  • 1 pinch of allspice

  • 1 pinch nutmeg

  • Handful of ice

Blend all ingredients except for the ice. Once everything is smooth, add the ice.
