4-Sea Smoothie Recipe
Refreshing is the name of the game in the dead of summer. Can there be anything better than a creamy, cold, citrus-tasting, cherry smoothie? Me thinks probably not. This latest favourite of ours is naturally sweetened (and is both vegan AND gluten-free, we might add). The first time we made it, we had just bought some delicious Okanagan cherries from a fruit stand and we made so much smoothie that, after we got our fill, we stuck the rest of it in Popsicle molds and presto! Delicious and nutritious snacks for later.
Sold? Okay – here we go. Introducing the 4-Sea Smoothie!
- 1 ½ c of fresh cherries (pitted. Yes, this can take a while but it is so worth it!)
- 1 ripe Okanagan peach, sliced
- ¾ c almond milk
- 1 juiced lime
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1 handful of spinach
Blend and enjoy!
