Whoa! We have a smoothie that’s gonna blow your mind! One of our dear friends sent this tasty recipe along to us and we’re so excited to be sharing it with you. It is simple to make with three ingredients, including blue-green algae powder otherwise known as spirulina. This powder is an absolute powerhouse of nutrients easily absorbed by the body and is said to contain the highest amount of biologically active chlorophyll of any food. RIPPLE ROCK SMOOTHIE
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1.5 tsp blue-green algae powder
- ½ c chilled coconut milk (from the can)
- ½ c blueberries
Peel and throw 1 ½ bananas into the blender with blueberries and 1 tsp of blue-green algae powder. Blend for a five seconds and then pour into your drinking glass.
Throw the rest of the banana into the blender with the remaining half of the blue-green algae powder. Blend for five seconds and then pour into your drinking glass on top of the already mixed ingredients.
Pour the coconut milk into your glass. Add some coconut flakes for the extra visual and taste appeal.
