Black Forest Smoothie Recipe

What would we do without our smoothie-loving friends? Well, for starters, we wouldn’t have found out about this Black Forest Smoothie recipe, that’s for sure (thanks to Angel for this one!).

Guys, you seriously have to try this one. It is phenomenal (especially if you are a fan of Black Forest cake). Aaaaand, yup, it’s healthy! It contains cherries as well as cocoa which pack an antioxidant two-punch. It also contains chia seeds so you’ve got your omega 3s covered. Plus oats for fiber (don’t skip this ingredient; getting enough fiber in our diets is something we sometimes struggle with. Another bonus – this recipe is vegan which will please many of our plant-based diet friends!

Black Forest Smoothie

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats

  • 1 tbs chia seeds

  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder

  • 2 Medjool dates (without the pit)

  • 1 cup frozen cherries (without pits)

  • 1 handful of baby spinach

Blend and enjoy!
