Blackberry Apple Smoothie Recipe
It’s right about this point in time that I realized I’ve not frozen enough fresh, local fruit. I’ve already ripped through the frozen raspberries and now I’m on my last batch of blackberries. Each year, I fantasize about making dozens of jars of jam but, nope. I’m a smoothie demon so the fruit gets used up quickly!
Since I’m almost out of delicious blackberries, I thought I’d do a smoothie recipe post to celebrate the last of the summer fruit I have on hand. Blackberries are not only amazing, but so healthy, too. They are loaded with vitamin C (just one cup has half the daily recommended value)! They’re also high in fiber and manganese.
Introducing the delicious Blackberry Apple Smoothie:
- 2 cups blackberries
- 1.5 cups freshly pressed apple juice (this is approximately five apples for those of you who are juicing)
- 1 banana
- 1 handful of spinach
- ½ avocado
- 1 handful of ice
Blend and enjoy!
