We Sigh for Açaí Smoothie Recipe

As mentioned in our previous post, açaí berries are pretty darn nutritious! They contain high levels of antioxidants, healthy fats that are great for your skin and your heart, and minerals such as iron, magnesium and potassium. It’s good to note that, due to the high levels of healthy fats in açaí, this smoothie will be creamier than most other fruit-based smoothies. Yes, açaí berries are 50 percent fat and 75 percent of that is Omegas.

Here’s one of our favourite açaí smoothie recipes. It’s a lovely way to start the week!

We Sigh for Açaí Smoothie

  • Two pitted Medjool dates
  • 3 tbs açaí powder (or puree)
  • ½ c orange juice
  • 1 banana
  • 1 c water
  • 1 tbs blueberries (optional - to sprinkle on top)
  • 1 c frozen mango chunks
  • Handful of spinach
  • Handful of ice cubes

Blend and enjoy!
