First things first. Beauty starts from within. You won’t have beautiful skin unless you have a healthy diet and are drinking plenty of water.

Now, face first. Your skin is exposed to the elements – the sun, the wind, the cold. So, sometimes, it needs a boost to help it repair and build some new cells.

To get you started, SeaLuxe has some natural remedy suggestions that can likely be found in your own kitchen:

GRAPE IS GREAT

Grape seed and avocado oils. These oils are full of vitamins and minerals and are great for smoothing and softening your skin. They are light and readily absorbed so no worries about leaving an oil slick on your body! Bonus points for grape seed oil as it is full of antioxidants and will enhance your skin’s sun protection factor.

OH, HONEY

In some dystopian universe where we are told we could only use one thing on our skin, it would be honey because of its cleansing and moisturizing qualities. Bonus points for sourcing top notch manuka honey from New Zealand (known for its antibacterial qualities).

OSS FOR OATS

Excuse the jiu jitsu reference there but oats are highly moisturizing as well as having antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, hypoallergenic, and anti-itch properties. They are great for anyone with dry or sensitive skin. Unlike jiu jitsu, they can repair damage from chemicals.

IT’S FUN TO SAY

Papayas are full of vitamins, antioxidants, and is a fun word to say 10 times in a row. This delicious fruit works to restore and rebuild skin damage, lower inflammation, remove blemishes and soften skin.

NICE RICE

Rice Flour smooths skin and removes spots by improving circulation in your capillaries.

TEA FOR ME

Green tea is full of antioxidant properties, is anti-inflammatory, and is great for treating dry skin.  When applied to skin is has been shown to decrease and prevent skin damage from the sun.

JUST FOR FUN

All of these items are also great additions to our powdered face masks to give them even more oomph!
