Tangy Banana Ginger Shake

We don’t have to tell you we love our natural products. You likely do as well, which is why you might be reading this blog in the first place. We also love our natural ingredients, especially when they do a body good. One of our favourite things to put into our bodies is ginger root (it's closely related to one of our other favourites, turmeric). Ginger is such a powerful plant that is commonly used to help digestion, reduce nausea, and help fight sickness. Studies show that taking one to one-and-a-half grams of ginger can significantly reduce nausea related to sea sickness, chemotherapy, post-surgery as well as morning sickness. As always, check with your doctor before taking a substantial amount of ginger regularly.

Tangy Banana Ginger Shake

 

  • 1 banana sliced (preferably frozen to up the creaminess factor)
  • ½ cup of vanilla yogurt
  • ½ tsp grated ginger (in a pinch you can use powdered ginger. Some say it’s almost as effective as fresh ginger)
  • 1 tsp honey

Blend all until desired consistency. Enjoy!
